Lead me from death to life,
from falsehood to truth.
Lead me from despair to hope,
from fear to trust.
Lead me from hate to love,
from war to peace.
Let peace fill your heart,
my world, my universe.
Amen....

Eat Your Peas: Daughter A 3-minute forever book A little wisdom and a lasting promise! By: Cheryl and Mom Karpen

Eat Your Peas is a mini series of books that give inspiration to those that read them. I reviewed Eat Your Peas the Daughter edition. The book is about 30 pages long, but each page is filled with a message from mother to daughter. The book is beautifully illustrated and the pages are made with a bubbled type of paper. I have a daughter who is 3 years old and this book allows me to write on the pages and give my own devotional messages to her. When she is older, she will be able to read this book and not only have the words in the book to inspire her but my own words as well. The book tells about a mother’s love for her daughter and what she will give up for her daughter. I was very inspired by this little book. Who would have thought that such a small book could be so uplifting and full of so much wisdom and understanding? This book will be passed on to my daughter and will hopefully fill her heart with the wisdom inside. I would recommend this book to anyone to read. This is an excellent book for mothers and daughters to share.

Spring Break 2011

This week has been an amazing one. I have my two angels with me and that is all that I could ask for. What more could a mother need or want? My children are my life. It was funny the other day because Miley told me, "Mommy, my brain hurts!" I told her, "that's not possible sweetie you don't have a brain, just a cup of noodles." She laughed so hard she almost wet herself. We are gonna drop Charlie off at the sitters and then start rearranging the bedrooms. Miley is excited because she is going to get the big room now. She will have enough room for all of her stuff. I am gonna have to start putting her to bed early since the week is almost over. She cannot wait until grandma gets home.

Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem, LCSW

Regret Free Parenting by Catherine Hickem, LCSW
Regret Free Parenting is a book that discusses raising good kids and knowing you are doing it right. The author shows you how to build companionship and trust, live peacefully in the teen years, maintain your position as the parent, develop emotional intelligence, and know the difference between control and intention. This book helps moms to worry less and enjoy their children more. The book also gives faith points in some chapters. These faith points are spiritual verses taken from the bible.
Regret Free Parenting was a very interesting book to read. I chose to read this book because I have two children of my own and I know how stressful it can be to raise children. I want to be able to get the best out of my children and the whole experience of raising children. This book enlightened me to the many ways of trying to raise my children without regret. The author made me think about how I was raising my own children and gave me examples of things to try. This book held my attention and it is one I can read more than once. Regret Free Parenting is a book that I would recommend to all parents. If you are feeling overwhelmed or just want a better way to look at raising your children, this is a book for you.
